it seems that i have quite a dilemma: i just found out that my mother is in the hospital.
she does not speak to me or my sister.
she is told by the people who publishes the books and magazines that she sells (jehovahs witnesses) that she cannot speak to us or eat a meal with us.
Sometimes the biggest decisions in life are about what YOU do, and who YOU are, not how others will perceive you....
I once gave a begger a $20.00 dollar bill because he said he was hungry. I gave him the twenty because it made me feel good about being a good person and helping my fellow man. He left with the twenty and went to the liquor store next door.

two polite elderly ladies knocked on my door to share the good news of the kingdom with me.. i was pondering whether i should speak against the organization, but immediately knew it just would not work.
i thought i should say a polite but firm no.
dgp - I think you did good. It's YOUR consience that matters, not anyone elses....not even the two little old ladies that visited. If you are clear with your consience, then it was a good thing....

every time i hear the following song by elton john, i have to pull over and shed a tear or two or twenty and think of all the other people like me who lost a brother whose name was daniel.... my brother daniel would have turned 40 today august 6 (southern hemisphere time).. i sadly lost daniel when i was 5 and he was 4 .... i still have vivid memories and photographs, yet sadly due to the religion that is called the jehovahs witnesses have not yet fully grieved or coped with my younger brothers death in a road accident.
i have never spoken to anyone outside my family about daniels death as i was raised up with the view that as a young person i would witness any day now the resurrection of my dear little brother.
not a week goes by when i do not visit his gravesite at fawkner cemetary looking for closure or the fact that i may never see him in the new system.
Mattieu, your story of Daniel was so touching. Thank you for sharing. In an odd twist of fate, or whatever you choose to call it, my brother is yet alive and well, but chooses to ignore me like I was dead. What a waste of life, bantering around this religion and wasing so much time....
now that the grand boasting sessions are well under way, now is a good time to discuss what they are restricting on supplies there.
the "one towel" rule is quite famous by now.
however, i have heard scattered reports that they are rationing things like toilet paper as well.
"Upper Decker's" are always a great way to save water....until some poor soul finds it....
for 28 years i was told to hate my country and i did, they were controlled by satan and against god...well i have given up satan and god and religion and i fly my flag of the united states of america proudly every day... up at dawn and down at dusk...and this weekend on the 4th of july i shall fly it with pride....
When I fly the flag....I think about the Patriots....our founding fathers and what they fought and died for.

after thinking things over i have realized that the time has now come for me to say goodbye to jwd.. some personal reminiscing about all of the people i have enjoyed talking with on jwd reminds me why it is time to go.
simply speaking, most of my good friends are no longer here.
Geez, I wonder if you all would miss me that much if I left....?
